If it is 2 or 3 boards, can't you solder them manualy?

The problem is not to fix the boards (these chips will be replaced) but to find the cause to avoid future failure. Even worse, there may be boards with a mechnical only contact (no "glue") that will work till installed in the field and then fail after a few bumps.
