#107448 - What iam trying to know is Responding to: ???'s previous message |
What iam trying to ask is,
Since the full wave rectified freq would be 120 HZ (for 60 HZ mains), will not a high value cap short the current flow through it due to very low reactance produced by it. e.g: Xc = 1/wc = 1/(2*3.14*120*5000uFd) = .26 ohm In the above e.g. reactance seem to be very low. So, i suspect whether the cap would act as a short between the rectified o/p and ground. If so, how could the regulator draw current from the rectified o/p. -suresh. |
