Think about it: the 'D' in "LED" stands for "Diode", doesn't it?

What happens when you connect two diodes in "anti-parallel" like that, and connect to an AC supply...?

can any one tell me how the current flows in such a circuit that makes all the LED's light up.

Hint: they do not all light up at the same time...
