The technicians I know about don't have any problems replacing many of the SMD packages. BGA is obviously not so easy to handle, and you may decide to not go below 0.64mm pin spacing for the TQFP chips.
By the way - do you really have a need for replacing chips? If your processor breaks, you normally have a design error on the PCB - not suitable protection of I/O signals or supply voltage. |
