Did you look at Michael Karas' post about what a SIL resistor network looks like?
If you buy a 8-resistor (9-pin) SIL resistor you will have eight resistors all wired together on one side. So the common side is connected to VCC and the other eight wires are connected to eight data lines. That should not take an explicit schematic for you to understand. The behaviour is identical to eight separate resistors where one side is connected to a data line and one side is connected to VCC. It's just that the SIL resistor don't require you to make eight connections to VCC since it has already connected one side of the resistors to a common pin. The simplified drawing already shown makes use of a box around the eight data lines and a single wire from the box to VCC. Together with the SIL text besides the box, it should be obvious what the box means - and that box takes way less space than drawing the eight individual resistors. |
