Hello Aamir,
If I understand your goal, you want to turn on the LED with a logic 1, and turn it off with a logic 0. I believe the BDX54C transistor is a PNP device, which would either require you to add an inverter to your circuit, or live with reversing your logic...Actually, the circuit is wrong for a PNP device, so you'd have to change the whole thing... Perhaps you could try the BDX53C transistor? It is an NPN device.
