However, I think that this applies to both HLL and LLL. In fact, I think it is even more important to an Assembler programmer - as you don't have any help from the tool! As someone else quoted recently, "with great power comes great responsibility" Some people, no matter how much code they've written over how many decades, will never generate as solid a code body as those who have both the training and the personality for it.
