#173746 - Have you considered chronology? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Maybe the first patent contains a transistor, the second a transistor array, the third an OPamp circuit, the fourth a specialized chip for low current consumption, etc. etc. Each new patent is better and more innovative than the older. By this 50 patents can make sense.
The claims' parts is always written by lawyers. It's very important to define very precisiely, what is actually new or, by other words, actually inventive. On the other hand, not too much is intended to be unveiled by the inventor, in order to prevent the invention from being copied too easily. Most "inventions" are made to hinder the competitors to develop in the same direction, to force them to follow another, less successful approach. Inventions aren't so much inventive. Most have to do with "company politics" and "competition management", and - it's very very expensive to make an "invention"... Kai Klaas |
