Nice link. Since Andy is probably right about replacing battery after 6 years. I just order new one from Duracelldirect with one year waranety. Thanks too all members for your help. If I had not read all the different threads I would not order new battery for the laptop. Now we see how it operates with the new battery.It should make a big difference. BTW I would have been mislead by battery monitor telling me the battery was at 100% after 3 hours. Sometimes you need to get other Engineers opinions to make the right decisions. I should have the new battery in week.

P.S. I like Xp that's why I keep this computer. My sons get new Vista computers which are nice but I dislike Vista.
