All of the above!

In my opinion the distributor markup to the devices does not justify the value they add to the device.

and they also rip you off if they get the chance!

for example I purchased a microcontroller from two different distributors in 100+ quantities, the first distributor has charged me twice the second distributor, I have both sales invoices to prove it.
