If you do not have a backup system, you will lose/have lost.

I can not count the number of 'disasters' I know of that all relate to no backup.

Todsy with huge USB 'sticks' a backup regiment is not a matter of external tapedrves or whatnot, that 'excuse' is gone.

A company I worked for some time ago hired a consultant to oversee their data processing practices. He approaced two of us and sworn to secrecy the 3 of us went in on a weekend and backed up every PC in the house, then we wiped the disks.

THAT tought the (unfortunately just the majority of) users to do regular backups.
