#144746 - Another issue... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
As described the bus is a 'star' configuration - unless you have a transceiver pair for each slave, this arrangement is not to be recommended- why? you have a number of transmission lines fed from the one point so how do you terminate each one without providing an excessive load to the master? Sure, it will most likely work in the workshop, in the field may be a different kettle of fish. Bahaya! Dilarung! ini tidak bagus.
Also, as Stefan points out - you can't have multiple slaves talking at the same time unless your master has a uart for each slave. It is much simpler to have half duplex comms - Most instrumentation protocols work this way- Modbus is a popular one. Also using half duplex, you can choose whether you want to have a star, daisy chain or both configuration without needing multiple uarts on your master. |
