No they don't (as somebody said above, the prolific is simply hardwired, one exactly as the other). I wonder you can distinguish them at all. They like to enumerate to different COM ports when you stick them in in different order. Also, there are many people complaining on the stability of the prolific chips and drivers. Although this might have about 1000000 reasons unrelated to the chips themselves, generally, I'd recommend you to switch to FTDI (unless you really hate the Scots :-) ). JW |
