I like the output of Capture, and find that it's easier to to pretty up than the other packages I use. I'm also mystified by suggestions that it's slow, as it runs nicely ever since I've had PCs running at a few hundred MHz, never mind today's GHz jobs. I agree that it can be hard to find components spread over many libraries, but I find that's the case in every other package I've used, bar one (Pulsonix).

One of the big differences between schematic capture packages is how they deal with net connectivity, especially during cut and paste. OrCAD capture lags behind a bit here.

One very powerful feature of Capture is the Stuff files. Like any powerful feature, it can be abused, but it's very handy if you need to deal with different back end layout packages.
