That's how they recommend to place the power and ground traces: Hhmm, that's not what professionals do today! Today we do everything to keep the current loop areas and the associated H-fields minimal. Omitting the solid ground plane is nearly a guarantee to fail the CE-tests. Not even mentioning the common mode noise... It's ridiculous to recommend a design practise, which worked in the seventies (when EMC was no issue), but WILL fail today. Kai |
