Sadly, the KEIL tools don't tell you about how long it takes to get from here to there, nor do they exhibit any features that would help with the problem I posed. They don't support any kind of timing simulation
I have heard/read they kind of do. The simulator supposedly can tell you how many instruction cycles a given process takes. Since I do not use simulators (I'm The ICEman) this os hearsay. The instruction cycle count may be a bit off for exotic derivatives, who knows. I will "give you" that, for simulator users, the ability to handle "memory stretch cycles" and include them in the timing/cycle calculation/count could be beneficial in many cases. However, I happily start a timer at the process entry in my ICE and read it at the exit, getting precise time by a very convenient method. Erik |
