most eval versions are made with many restrictions so that user wont be able to know whether there are hidden problems in a real version...and of course, after buying and finding a bug, will be simply send some patch "for free" and when that another bug is found, another patch will be delivered and thats again "for free"....and this will continue until an email announcing that they will no more support their "so and so version" but has just developed a new version...with its demo version for free...and real one for..so and so dollars....and so this cycle continues until may be after the user empties his pockets...
thats the rule of the business, I guess... .................... hey but I have nothing against Keil's anyway...till now... I challenge you to state a problem you have found with the core functionality of Keil. Yes, the simulator may not support a USB emulator, the RTX51 may not be able to switch tasks exactly like you want, you may have to make your own .h file for a new device - WGASA. Tell me ONE malfunction - not inconvenience - of the core Keil tools: compiler, assembler and linker. FYI: I am, in no way, except as a user, associated with Keil and I intensly hate their "IDE integration" attempts, they try to "integrate" debugging their way and do not allow you to "integrate" a decent compiler and thus force you to pay for an IDE you can not use. That said, I love the compiler, assembler and linker. Erik |
