#117786 - what is "device support?" for a compiler Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Unfortunately, they don't support the ones I want to use, so I have a different viewpoint.
What is "device support?" If you mean SFR address lists, I wrote mine I do not use the Keil supplied because with the "traditional" names (not a Keil invention, but Intel) "safe search" is impossible. Do you mean simulation? I do not use the simulator all simulators lie. Do you mean that the IDE stinks, I do not use it. If you mean faults in the core tools Assembler, Compiler and Linker, then I understand your opinion, but who cares if a bicycle lamp inteface can not be simulated when the core tools work flawlessly. I do not understand those that whine because a simulator expect certain connewctions to be there (I have seen "how do i simulate different connections for the LCD)- it IS a simulator. Erik |
