#117800 - when you get what you need who cares abo
Responding to: ???'s previous message
When you get what you need who cares about the rest.

I need a rugged trustworthy assembler, compiler and linker and Keil provides that, That some ancillary items may not be the cats miauw, I do not care since I do not use them,

The argument about SFR definitions I do not understand, it takes max 15 minutes to whip one up.

as a mater of fact, I frequently complain to tool vendors that they spend too much time on the bells and whistles and not enough on the core functions. I can make several suggestion as to how Keils compiler can be more efficient, but that is talking to ears that do not hear because the "music" of the IDE, the simulator and other fancy stuff is waaaay too loud. SILabs are so busy with their fancy IDE that they do not have the time to make the individual components bug free. OK, I could go on, but you get my drift.
