In PUT_CHAR, the TX_HEAD pointer is updated sooner than the byte is stored. If transmit interrupt occurs (previous character gets transmitted) during this short moment, it would transmit the previous contents of the buffer (= nonsense).
It is difficult to spot as it has quite low probability that it will happen. JW |
