#106646 - So..... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I guess you didn't like that example, to tell you the truth I've never used an interrupt driven serial I/O. That example is a stripped down version of the Keil example and since I don't C, I used assembler. I had a heck of a time getting rid of all the stuff that wasn't needed for the example. I'm not sure it works quite like it is supposed to.
As far as the section on buffers and flow control, sounds like you didn't really like that either. Is it not correct? If not, then I'll need to know what is wrong to be able to correct it. On the DB25, I still have some computers with them. They're pretty old but still work for terminals. I'm sure there are others that have some old junkers too. And the DTE/DCE thing. I did put in the following comment, but didn't change the tables themselves. PC = DTE (Data Terminal Equipment) Modem = 8051 = DCE (Data Communications Equipment) BTW I don't hate you, you've given me the most input on this and I appreciate that very much. Right now I'm wanting to wrap it up and call it done, but I want it to be right. Jon |
