I still want to include a few more sample programs to show the difference between polled and interrupt driven I/O and one with a ring buffer as Sasha suggested. But I've stumped myself. Is there such thing as polled transmit? Because you're really not polling to see if there is something to send. You just send it. If not polled transmit then what do you call it? Then... Can you have interrupt driven transmit with only a one byte buffer? Thanks for the suggestions and help so far. Jon |
