I have had to deal with the fact that I don't have a "Serial" port, but a USB port. I have an adapter that I use (RS232/USB), that I've had no problems with for FLIP and terminal communications. However, I've only dealth with my Toshiba. I'm sure there is limitations to what I can do with it, but haven't reached them yet. There was no change in the Hyper-Terminal settings for this device, but I can mention something about it.
