when the trigger is continuously pressed without releasing it, the LED keeps on glowing, but not switching OFF after 1 Sec.

I can't remember off-hand, so I would go and look it up in the Datasheet
You have the datasheet (from your previous thread) - so go and look it up!

i didnt use any debounce circuit or debounce IC in the trigger i/p.

With delays on the order of seconds controlled by a 555 timer, contact bounce is unlikely to be of any significance!
