What i require is ,
I should be able to vary the dispensing time from 0 to 10 Sec.
Hence, when i press the button the unit will dispense the fluid for the specified time i set.Then the potted substance is removed and the next one is kept.then button is pressed again.
This is what i need to do.

I too prefer doing it with a microcontroller for accuracy.

But, to my knowledge i thought, i could use an interrupt to start dispensing. and i can program the timer.
But iam not aware of how the Timing could be adjusted manually when a microcontroller is used.

Any suggestions.
