#177179 - Always very baudrate by measuring it Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Even if a serial port is intended to be RX-only, I normally always do a test transmit to verify the baudrate with an oscilloscope. It is too easy to write something wrong somehwere and end up with a nearly correct baudrate - near enough to receive but too far away to have enough safety margin.
All designs should always try to measure all parameters that are important, just to make sure. |
