When I have to do that, I use a common database on network-accessible-storage of which I have two little boxes, 400 GB each, and that's where that sort of thing tends to live. I also have shareable TB drives attached to one computer or another via USB ... not perfect, but useable. Either of those arrangements would allow PC#4 to access, say, three (four wouldn't normally if well on a wide-screen monitor)pictures.

That's how I deal with this seldom-occurring need. I also have an FTP-accessible site that would work in more or less the same way.
