No, I don't think he actually said that.

I think his gripe is with those who blindly beleive everything that SPICE says without considering the real-life effects that may not be modelled, and/or the possibility that the model itself may be wrong.

Simulation - including SPICE and things like the Keil simulator - are very useful tools, but are only tools.
If the tool is mis-applied, and/or its limitations are not well-understood, you can very easily be misled.

It's just like a calculator can do arithmetic for you - but it won't teach you maths!
You have to know your maths to know how to use a calculator - and to spot when its results are erroneous.
