Yes. that is the disadvantage of separate computers; especially when you just want to copy a snippet of information from one to another - rather than re-open the whole file.


I use a program called Synergy that enables me to cut and paste and move the mouse and keyboard between laptop and desktop using the network rather than a KVM switch, etc. It's free.
