I do a lot with TINA from Texas Instruments. Or there's LTspice. Both are for free.
The problem with these simulations is that you never exactly know, how "real" the component is. An example: If you take a simple transistor, then the base emitter junction can zener at about 5...8V when reverse biasing. Many simulation software do not simulate this properly. There's no zenering at all... This must always kept in mind. Like when doing numerical calulations, you never exactly know, how much rounding errors contribute to the result. Kai Klaas |
