OrCAD, Xilinx ISE, Altera's Quartus, etc, all allow multiple Windows. However, if you need to examine other information, sometimes it's easier to transfer the file in to common-access (NAS) storage and snag it from there ... all of which can be managed with that KVM switch and a single monitor.

That way I can use a BIG monitor instead of two smaller ones. I doubt I'm the only one who likes this approach, but it is a matter of preference, I guess.
