#170799 - a simple 89s52 based led circuit on the breadboard |
hi,
I am fairly new to this stream, i have a developer board, and the code etc. runs fine on the board itself. But I want to make a simple circuit on the breadboard. I am using one 89s52, one 12mhz oscillator crystal,2 22uf disc capacitors, 7805, switch for reset, one 9v standard battery, one low power LED and one 220ohm resistor. +v of led is connected to the 7805 through the 220ohm resistor and -v is connected to p0.0, 12mhz crystal with capacitors connected properly. Its just not working on the breadboard, power and Ground connections to the mcu are ok, multimeter confirms that no loose wires exist. the program is simple, " clr p0.0 " which should provide ground connection to the led and it should be switched on. but its like flickering or is sometimes on and sometimes off (after cutting power and resuming power to the mcu). the same chip works on the development board. I am using 7805 without capacitors is this the problem, if not where to look? Thanks for your help |
