If you have decided to only have a GSM modem on the vehicle side, then you must obviously have made that decision based on the existing knowledge of at least one alternative method for the PC to receive any SMS.

By the way - alternatives for receiving SMS on the PC side has already been covered in this thread. What was your take on the alternatives, since you decided to skip the GSM modem?
