#168763 - isn't this a big part of your intended project work? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Don't you think that the most important part of your hard job is to actually sit down and figure out all these small problems?
What difference would it make if the vehicle unit has a keyboard or not? Why do you think a keyboard would be needed? Would a keyboard be needed if you had an SMS-based alarm, that automatically sends an alarm in case a refridgerator breaks? If you had a keyboard - exactly who would be using it? The vehicle thief, to report that he is stealing the vehicle? Getting a basic knowledge of how SMS works should give you some ideas about the options available to receive an SMS. How do you personally receive SMS right now? How would a big company that has SMS-controlled parking meters be able to receive SMS? Is there a difference if you design for receiving a couple of SMS/day or for receiving thousands of SMS/day? Do you feel that Google have too little documentation available? What would the required steps be if you had geo-data available from a car navigator, and wanted to display on a map? Does it make a difference if you have one vehicle and want to display a track of how it was driven yesterday, or if you have 500 vehicles but just want to display a marker with their current location? What difference would it make if each vehicle sends in one position every 30 seconds, or only once every 12 hours? What information do you find about displaying vehicle positions if you google, without locking yourself into Google Map? |
