Watch out. Erik is very much against home-made solutions.
A very experienced, highly qualified person with the proper tools may be able to make a workbench unit that works. My 'objection' is towards the issue that a kitchen table progremmer (for which you need, at least, a scope to verify timings etc) often is the first thing tackled by a rank amateur. Another source of my 'objection' is that ever so many 'working' 'designs' floating around on the web only works if you have the same PC, the same Windows version, the same ... as the poster. Erik |
