... but I used to, in ye olden days. Even professionally, I bought some of my stuff there, as did many other small companies. This was simply because their volume discount with some of the distributors meant they could sell it to me cheaper than if I bought it directly.

"Local stores" used to be quite common in The Netherlands, but the advance of on-line ordering meant that numbers have dwindled over the past 15 years or so.
