Is the NTC used as "Surge Current Killer" (as the datasheet says)?

Yes, of course - that is precisely why the datasheet says it!

So would any other class of thermistor work, or I have to choose the one that is specified as "Surge Current Killer". I mean, if I select an NTC, with rated voltage, current, resistance, etc. will work, OR, Do I have to use the one specified as "Surge Current Killer" only.

Sorry for asking such a question. But it is better to accept being a Dumb, and get the information, rather than keeping quite and loosing out on the precious information.

Edit:
I read your other post http://www.8052.com/forum/read/173480
after I posted this message. Thanks I got the answer.
