#173465 - SCR dI/dt limiting
Responding to: ???'s previous message

In SCR/TRIAC Application: you are using it to limit dI/dt rating ... how does a thermistor fit into this ?

I'm not convinced that it does - where did that "Rule 8" come from?

But, again, it's basically about "inrush" current...

The fact is, I do not know the theory of using the thermistor for SCR/TRIAC or even the SMPS application.

Sounds like you need some basic study or, preferably, training there, then?

As Erik often says, switch-mode PSU design is not trivial; it's not something that you can just pick up from a few posts on a forum.
You need to either commit to some extended learning & practice, or buy-in ready-made units.
