Erik would, I believe, have us think that if one fed 12 volts AC (RMS) centered about 16 volts DC, it could be programmed to provide exactly 22.55 mA all the time. I'd have to see the spec's. somewhere in the 1%/V range for simple circuitry. way better with an OP-amp as controller. For all practical purposes there is no difference between a current regulator and a voltave regulator, just one senses across series resistor and, as far as I recall, there is no shortage of precise voltage regulators. NO, Richrad, I am NOT going to bend it in neon to get it through your "NIH rejcection mechanism", so if you can not google or whatever to see how precise a cc circuit can be, forget it.
