#171135 - If only Chico had sent us a link to his Laser modul... Responding to: ???'s previous message |

Another thing is what voltage range that is supported. Is 3.1V ok? Or would it be better with 2.9V? I asked Chico whether the modul needs 3...5V or 3V, because I know that they usually come in these two flavours. He said 3V. He also said, that he thinks a constant current source is on board. He later said, that little changes of supply voltage result in a modulation of laser intensity. So, I conclude: 1. It's a Laser modul needing a supply voltage of 3V. I guess the tolerance range is about +/-0,1...0,2V. But I don't know it. 2. It has a current control, but one which is lousy, so that fluctuations of 3V supply voltage result in an undesired modulation of Laser beam. All this endless guessing could have been entirely avoided if, yes if, Chico only had given us a link to his Laser modul... Kai Klaas |
