I think the point is elsewhere. Kiran might already have considered migration from other reasons; the gradually decreasing "native" noise immunity just added to it. I see how frustrating is, that a product which claims to be a 100% replacement of the original one, fails completely in an environment where the original one worked flawlessly.

From how he formulated the original question it's clear, that the mentioned device is a phased-out product, and its author is not going to improve on that one - and certainly the new ones will be designed with higher noise immunity at mind. We all learn from the errors of past.

It's just pity that a direct comparison of the '51-s and any other mcu family is nearly impossible.
