I'd use both, in rapid succession! :)

Seriously, when something happens to me that provokes an immediate response, I've found myself sometimes exclaiming something in Spanish and sometimes in English, and not always in the right context. For example, I can be in a Spanish language environment and react with an English expression of surprise; or I can be in an English language environment and react with a Spanish expression of surprise. It's kind of annoying sometimes.
