NO, NOTHING is 'feasible' if you go outside the specs.

You can cook up some fancy scheme "like RS485 a Kind" and HOPE it will work reliably but 'hope' is not a design criteria.
DO NOT fall in the trap of 'testing' as 'proof' of some scheme. What you are playing with here is something thet WILL change (e.g. someone parks and idles a car with faulty ignition right next to your 4km line)
