I mentioned the chips and you say I havnt read the datasheets ? strange ;) . I said "what datasheets" because I thought RE was suggesting Deas some datasheet.

BTW the IC is for driving audio signals ,Like an interface to DTMF/FSK kind modems (Bel202 ,V.22,V.23 etc stuff) which has extremely slow data rates. Also the datasheet says nothing about the transmission distances? , this made me say "I am not sure".
