#145393 - modified wrap Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I much preferred modified wrap as there was less stress on the bare wire when making those tight point to points. While working at an undisclosed location a few decades ago it was policy to make wirewrap so tight 'it played like a harp'.
My home electronics training lab consisted of an IMSAI Z80 with a large selection of wire wrap cards. I started by making a simple 8251 serial port, on up to an 8088 cpu card. A real front panel with examine/deposit and single step (yeah, I used those PDP and Nova machines too) was invaluable in debugging circuits. Jack Peacock |
