#145370 - in a week or so ... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I'll post some pictures of bare boards, tools, and, maybe eventually, a couple of recently wired boards.
The thing that has kept me using wire-wrap is (1) the cut-strip-wrap bit, which removes the insulation at the same time it places the wire, allowing me to place about one wire per second or two, and (2) the fact that I can wrap a board faster than I can lay it out for a proper PCB. This is helped by the fact that I made WW cards for nearly every common bus format back when I did lots of WW for others' applications. Back when I was under 50, I could wire a 200 IC circuit from memory. Nowadays, I can hardly remember where I put my glasses. RE |
