I still use it from time to time, particularly if I have to add a deadbug IC, just wire wrap right to the pins. The hand tool also offers a quick and easy way to strip insulation from the Kynar (sp?) wire. Breadboarding comes from the early days when circuits were tried out on a wooden board using terminal strips for connecting points. Spring clips were used to allow easy interchange of parts like resistors and caps. |
