#144574 - ... or any other program with a spellchecker... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Just a recent story, I remembered it as I try to stick to "colour" and "centre" but of course I make numerous errors in many other cases.
Richard, once you pointed me out that there is no such english word as "unaccessible" (I used it in the reset article). This surprised me, as I did an automated spellcheck on that article before publishing. So I opened the document and, voila, the default language is English (USA). Changed to English (UK), and "unaccessible" is suddenly marked as wrong. Btw., it passes Firefox's spellchecker, too. JW PS. I tried again and I see that "gray" does not pass the English (UK) spellchecker... PS2. If anybody will try migrate from M$ to OpenOffice, please remember, the language is - IMHO quite illogically - situated in the "format character" window... |
