I'd think that having the configuration memory inaccessible is a plus. When the config rom was outside the fpga, it was never a problem that the fpga couldn't modify it. Why's that a problem now?
The config rom is not the rom you want to use for MCU rom anyway, as that's part of the configuration contained in the rom. Unless you need self-modifying code (generally not a good idea) you wouldn't want the FPGA content to have access to the ROM anyway. What did you have in mind, Jan? RE |
