In point of fact it's just the opposite. Current, that is to say electrons, flow from the more negative potential to the more positive. Remember that whole "electron flow" v "hole flow" picture in solid state/semiconductor theory?



Nonetheless, in conventional parlance, we consider current to flow in the direction indicated by Andy.
